The UFC is the one of the most popular MMA promotions in the world. With a roster of fighters like Alex Pereira, Merab Dvalishvili, and Valentina Shevchenko - it's impossible to ignore.

Each weight class in the Ultimate Fighting Championship showcases different fighters from all around the world. Each fighter competes to earn a spot in the Rankings, but not all can make it.

How are Rankings decided?

Rankings in the UFC were first introduced in February 2013.

There is a small media panel that votes to include (or exclude) fighters from the Top 15 for each weight class.

How Many Weight Classes are there in the UFC?

As of 2024, there are 8 Men's weight classes and 3 Women's weight classes.

Rankings are voted on and decided for all 11 weight classes. Plus, there is a Men's and Women's Pound-for-Pound list that includes 15 fighters from each division.

Who is in the UFC Hall of Fame?

There are quite a few fighters in the UFC Hall of Fame, including UFC veterans like Donald Cerrone and Wanderlei Silva.

Historic Fights are also part of the Hall of Fame. The media panel that votes on Rankings does not oversee Hall of Fame inductees.
